{Sneak Peek} Delightful Wedding Invitations

A while back we were hired by a friend of a friend to design her wedding invitations. It was a nontraditional format and I always had plans to re-work it so that it could be made available for others. This week I finally did it! Here's a peek:

...coming soon...
It will be available in the shop on 3.21.14, along with the other fancy, new items!

Cheers,
Ashley

Our Exciting News!

Now that the products are created and shipped off to their new home, I think it's finally safe to share:

inviting was asked to create cards for the Jane Austen Centre in Bath, England!

I emailed them about possibly sending them our You Pierce My Soul cards and the buyer countered with creating exclusive designs for their shop. After some negotiating, we came to an agreement and five designs were made. I originally planned on just doing 1-color printing but thought the design would look even better with 2-color so did the little extra. Digging around for quotations was fun, and I came across several gems (no surprise, of course). Once I found the quotes (more romantically bent for Valentine's Day+) I ran through the vintage vector-frames to select the five that I thought worked the best.

Once I see that they're available online, I'll share the link(s). This has been very exciting and while I am happy with how they turned out, I'm nervous that the Centre's buyer won't be. Silly, but true.

What do you think? Do you have a favorite?

Cheers,
ashley

also, the strangest thing I said, possibly ever: "Oh, I need to invoice Jane Austen."

Classy, Draped Invitations

We have a new wedding design, inspired by a photograph of a wedding cake that I stumbled upon.
The invitations are large, 6.75" squares and come with soft cotton, square 7" envelopes (extra postage is required). When invitees receive their invitations, they'll *know* they're being invited to something special!

Large, square invitation
Not only were reply cards/postcards designed, but also coasters, thank you cards, escort/table cards, and personalized stationery. Of course, you don't need to get married to order personalized coasters or cards!

Holiday Sneak Peak

A re-styling of last year's snowflake. The text and style have changed, and the ink is a fabulous bronze (our signature chocolate with some metallic gold added). Very excited about these.

Also planning on a "traditional vintage" holiday card for fun.

Like to Share Recipes?

Hot off the press:

This fall, recipe cards are something we'll be making more of. When sharing holiday dishes with the office or neighbors, it's always nice to include a recipe so that they may recreate it. Much nicer than a computer printout, no? They're a nice, traditional way of sharing, and our little image sure is cute!

The metal type is Lydian, one we've never used before, but is in great condition with it's clean angular form. Little produce image was found in our type accessories drawer.

We can customize these for you, different inks, add a name, etc. Just contact us at rsvp at shopinviting dot com

Don't know about you, but fall can't get here fast enough!

Wedding Invitations

Some nice neighbors are getting married in the fall and we volunteered to do their wedding invitations. The only instruction we received was "a big tree would be nice."

Materials have been ordered and production should begin within 2 weeks.
